Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated
In one line. Cancel whenever you like, keep what you have already paid for until the end of that period, and nothing further is taken from you.
Try it before you pay
Every new business gets a free trial of the full product. No card is asked for and nothing is charged. That is deliberate: we would rather you found out whether CivilOne suits you before any money changed hands than argue about a refund afterwards.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time, yourself, from Subscription in the app. No email, no phone call, no notice period.
- The auto-debit stops immediately. Nothing further is collected.
- Your subscription runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. You lose nothing you bought.
- After that the account becomes read-only. Your records are not deleted, and you can still export them.
- Subscribe again whenever you like and you carry on exactly where you left off.
Refunds
Because the trial lets you evaluate the product in full before paying, subscription fees already collected are generally not refunded. What you paid for stays available to you for the whole period it covers.
We do refund in these cases:
- A duplicate charge. Charged twice for the same period — refunded in full, and you should not have to ask.
- A charge after cancellation. If the auto-debit takes a payment after you cancelled, it is refunded in full.
- A charge you did not authorise. Tell us and we will investigate, and refund if it was ours to refund.
- A prolonged failure on our side. If the service is unusable for an extended period through our fault, we will refund or credit that part of the period, whichever you prefer.
Outside those cases, if something has genuinely gone wrong for you, write to us anyway. We would rather hear about it.
How to ask for a refund
Email our contact page from the address on the account, with the invoice number and what happened. We reply within three working days.
How a refund is paid
Back to the method it was collected from, through Razorpay. Once approved, the money typically reaches you within five to seven working days depending on your bank. The tax charged on the original invoice is credited with it, and a credit note is issued.
Price changes
If we change the price of your plan it applies from your next renewal, and we tell you before it takes effect. You can cancel before then and pay nothing more.
