Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms govern your use of CivilOne, the construction management software provided by CivilOne ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
1. What the service is
CivilOne is software for running construction projects — daily progress reporting, attendance, materials, purchase orders, sub-contractor billing, client updates and the accounting that falls out of them. It is provided over the internet, as a subscription, and is used through our website and mobile applications.
We are a software provider. We are not a party to any contract between you and your clients, employees, vendors or sub-contractors, and we do not carry out construction work.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for everything done through your account, and for keeping its credentials safe.
- An account belongs to the business that created it. You may create logins for your own staff, clients, vendors and architects within the limits of your plan.
- You must give accurate details, and keep the billing details current.
- Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been used without permission.
3. Your data
The records you put into CivilOne remain yours. We store and process them to provide the service, and for no other purpose — see our Privacy Policy. You can export your data at any time while your subscription is usable.
You are responsible for having the right to hold the information you enter, including details of your staff and clients, and for telling those people what you hold about them.
4. Trial, plans and payment
- A new business gets a free trial. No payment details are required to start one.
- When the trial ends, an account without a subscription becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted.
- Subscription prices are shown on our pricing page and exclude GST, which is added to every invoice.
- Paid subscriptions are collected by auto-debit through Razorpay. We do not see or store your card or UPI details.
- A tax invoice is issued for every payment collected.
- We may change prices. A change applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it takes effect.
Cancellation and refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, and how and when a paid plan reaches your account by our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
5. Fair use of the AI features
Some features use AI and are metered in credits, included with each plan in the quantities published on the pricing page. Credits are granted monthly and do not carry over unless bought as a top-up. We may apply reasonable limits to stop a single account degrading the service for everyone else.
6. What you must not do
- Resell, sublicense or provide the service to anyone outside your own business without our written agreement.
- Attempt to reach another customer's data, or any part of the system you have not been granted.
- Copy, decompile or reverse-engineer the software, except where the law says you may.
- Upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to upload.
- Interfere with the running of the service, or use it to send unsolicited messages.
7. Availability
We work to keep CivilOne available and backed up, but no internet service is uninterrupted. Planned maintenance is done at the quietest hours we can manage. We are not liable for interruptions caused by your own connectivity, your device, or a third party we depend on.
8. Suspension and termination
You may cancel at any time — see the refund policy. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or on which payment has failed and gone unanswered. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
After termination we keep your data for a reasonable period so you can recover it, then delete it.
9. Liability
CivilOne is a record-keeping and coordination tool. Decisions about your projects, your money, your people and your statutory filings remain yours, taken with your own professional advisers. Figures the software produces — including tax and payroll workings — should be checked before they are relied on or filed.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, contracts or data.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are notified in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Getting in touch
